Members of the Governing Body
The Governing Body, also referred to as The Corporation, consists of a Chair, Vice Chair, Principal of the College and sixteen members. The members are drawn from business/industry, the community, local authorities from the area served by the college and staff and students representatives. Together they provide a wide spectrum of experience and expertise. The majority of Corporation members are bi-lingual and representative of the cultural and linguistic background of the catchment area. Members of the Governing Body play a key role in the work of the College and give their time and expertise freely.
The Governing Body meets at least four times during each academic year, and the governors also attend an Annual Conference. The sub-committees of the Governing Body are: Audit Committee, Employment Policy, Remuneration and Health & Safety Committee, Finance and Estates Committee; Search and Governance Committee, Academic Board and the Strategic Group.
