At Coleg Llysfasi we set ourselves high standards and work hard to achieve them. The College aims for excellence, both academically and in the quality of the service we offer.

The Welsh Language

Coleg Llysfasi was the first Further Education College in Wales to gain approval for its Welsh language policy by the Welsh Language Board in 2000 and the College continues to increase the number of bilingual / Welsh courses available.

This coveted award recognises the College's firm commitment to develop all of its staff, helping them to support our objectives by offering an on-going programme of training.

Knowledge Exploitation Fund

The College has further developed its commitment to providing services to businesses and industry by its involvement with the Knowledge Exploitation Fund jointly funded by the EU Objective 1 and 3 programmes and the Welsh Assembly Government.

The College has developed many partnerships in the delivery of several European funded projects including a Dairy Development Centre, Managing Farms with IT and the Farming Connect Beef and Sheep Technology Transfer Programme.  In addition, the College has close links with the voluntary services, e.g. Denbighshire Voluntary Services and AVOW in Wrexham through the Objective 3 and Objective 1 European programmes.

The College is also working towards gaining the Charter Mark and Careers Wales Quality Award accreditations. In addition, the College publishes a College Charter that sets out its commitment to:
